Do I need a DBS to be involved in youth football?

If you have regular contact with under 18 players as a Coach, Manager, Club Welfare Officer, First Aider or Referee you are required to have a valid CRC that is registered on the FA’s Whole Game System

You can seek support in obtaining a DBS through your Club Welfare Officer or by contacting [email protected]  They can provide you with information to complete the application on line.

When completed, a DBS is valid for 3 years.

If you are a Club Committee Member who has an administrative role only you would not be required to complete a DBS. If you are a parent, who for example, occasionally assists in being an Assistant Referee you would not be required to complete a DBS.
