How do I sanction a Tournament or Festival?

Modified on Fri, 24 Apr 2020 at 01:32 PM

To ensure that you do not void your teams insurance, or enter a tournament where the coaches have not been checked for a DBS, your tournament should be sanctioned by the County FA. Registered Match Officials are only permitted to officiate in sanctioned tournaments.

If you are the tournament organiser and wish to sanction a tournament please find attached the forms required, as well as a “best practice” version for reference,

Please return to us completed and with payment at least 5 days before the tournament start date, to allow us to process the forms and/or help you sort any teams with issues entering.

It is worth noting that any tournaments organised for the first weekend in July are much more difficult to organise, as this is the first weekend that teams have to be affiliated for the new season.

Teams who do not have a valid affiliation number cannot enter a sanctioned tournament
